Only a couple of decades ago, website traffic coming from mobiles was virtually non-existent. The iPhone hit the market in 2007 combining a mobile phone, an iPod, and internet capabilities with a touchscreen and people started to use their phones as mini computers. Apple then introduced the first iPhone App Store, making apps a standard feature of smartphones the following year.
